If you struggle or used to struggle with self-injury, some of this might sound familiar to you.

  • You feel overwhelmed by your negative emotions.

  • You feel like self-injury is the only relief from these emotions.

  • You feel guilty for engaging in self-injury, but you don’t know how to stop.

  • You would like to share this information with your loved ones, but you feel ashamed and scared to be stigmatized.

  • You don’t want to burden your loved ones with your problems.

  • You stopped self-injuring, but sometimes you still feel overpowered by strong negative emotions, which then have an impact on how you see yourself, and on how you interact with others.

If any of this resonates with your experiences, I would like you to know that you are not alone. In fact, studies showed that almost two out of ten adolescents engage in self-injury. Many of them do not disclose this with either parents or professionals. Many of them do not ask for help. It is for this reason that I decided to offer some free resources. This will allow you to get some science-based information and tips on self-injury. It hopefully can help you to start a path to recovery while maintaining your anonymity. I Hope you find it useful.
